Mike Moreno is a critically acclaimed jazz guitarist renowned for his unique style and compelling sound. He has toured and collaborated with several prominent musicians in jazz today, including Joshua Redman, Nicholas Payton, Stefon Harris, Gretchen Parlato, Lizz Wright,  Kendrick Scott, Will Vinson, Meshell N’Degecello, Robert Glasper. He has also recorded and performed with mainstream artists such as Bilal and Q-Tip. In this masterclass Mike will demonstrate his thought process regarding several critical areas of jazz guitar performance: voicings, finding your own style, developing a great time feel, solo guitar, picking technique, and linear improvisation methods. Mike emphasizes listening and studying jazz music closely alongside gradually fashioning your own unique style and approach to the music.
